What is the plan for the 2020 virtual concert?

The event cannot be held in person in 2020 due to Los Angeles County and City Safer at home orders prompted by the Coronavirus crisis. In lieu of a live concert, we are doing an one-hour, pre-recorded event that will be broadcast on the evening of July 4th. The event will feature a string of prerecorded performances contributed by local artists, interspersed with short messages of
hope from local celebrities, with no commercials. We are working with our friends Adam Topol (Jack Johnson band) and Tom Freund to produce a virtual concert.

When and how will the 2020 concert be broadcast?

The event will be broadcast via Facebook Live on July 4, 2020.

How will the broadcast be promoted?

The broadcast will be promoted through multiple social media (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat), and traditional media outlets (TV, radio, newspaper) throughout Los Angeles.

Can people outside of Los Angeles view the broadcast?

Yes, anyone in the world with Facebook Live can view the event.

How to Audition

In addition to the performances by professional musicians, we invite Palisadians* to audition to be part of the show. We are looking for music groups, singers, musicians to submit an audition reel or EPK. We have a great group of professional musicians who will be reviewing the submissions. Attached is an submission form.

Song submission should be July 4th themed, inspired or patriotic (possible examples: Born in the USA; We’re an American Band; R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.; America; Rockin’ in the U.S.A.; etc., etc., etc.)
